Tim Gifford is an application architect and owner of Gifford Consulting LLC in West Des Moines, Ia. where he provides training, mentoring, software development and design consulting to Central Iowa businesses. With more than seven years development experience with Microsoft technologies, he has earned MCP, MCSE, MCDBA and MCSD certifications. Tim remains active in the Des Moines technology community having co- founded Agile Iowa, a group devoted to the promotion and discussion of agile methodologies in the state of Iowa, and by serving on the executive board of the Iowa .NET User Group (IADNUG). In 2005, he presented at the Microsoft Developer Conference in both Minneapolis, Minn. and Omaha, Neb. When he has a spare moment, he maintains a blog at http://blogs.giffordconsulting.com where he delves into such topics as .NET best practices, Agile methods, test driven development and CSLA.NET, just to name a few. Tim and his wife, Jody, make their home in West Des Moines, Ia. They had their first child, a daughter, Sadie in June.
